Josh Gottheimer joins local temple in fight against antisemitism

On April 1, 2025, Gottheimer shared his participation in a discussion at the Highland Park Conservative Temple with Rabbi Ellio Malomet. The event focused on his efforts to address rising antisemitism and hate in New Jersey and nationwide. Gottheimer expressed his privilege in joining the discussion, stating, "It was a privilege to join Rabbi Ellio Malomet at the Highland Park Conservative Temple to come together and discuss my continued fight in Congress to combat the rising antisemitism and hate in New Jersey and across the country."

Later that day, Gottheimer tweeted support for Senator Cory Booker, who was engaged in a lengthy session on the Senate floor. Gottheimer commended Booker's efforts on behalf of New Jersey families, remarking that he was "Proud to stand by my friend @SenBooker as he hits more than 13 hours on the Senate floor, fighting for hardworking Jersey families and standing up for what we believe in."

In another post, Gottheimer criticized the tariffs imposed during President Trump's administration, describing them as a significant financial burden on New Jersey families. Gottheimer highlighted the need for a more thoughtful trade policy approach, saying, "Trump’s tariffs mark the largest tax hike on our families in a generation — whacking hardworking Jersey families with an extra $2,000 a year just to buy essential goods. It’s outrageous. When it comes to tariffs, we need a targeted approach that doesn’t put the bullseye on our."
