On March 28, 2025, Rep. Gottheimer announced he is forwarding a letter to the U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi urging the protection of vital investments designated for women. "She must uphold the promises she made in her testimony before Congress to protect life-saving investments to VAWA funding."
In the subsequent tweet, dated the same day, Gottheimer introduced legislation to support victims of abuse called the bipartisan Safe Vehicle Access for Survivors Act. The act is aimed at "prevent[ing] abusers from using car location technology to track, intimidate, or control survivors."
Later that evening, Gottheimer addressed the impact of sinkhole-related issues along Route 80 on local communities in New Jersey. He emphasized his collaboration with multiple government levels "to ensure Jersey gets the support we need and that Route 80 is reopened as quickly as possible."
