Rep. Josh Gottheimer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 5th district since 2017, has extensively utilized social media to communicate legislative updates and express policy positions. Recently, Gottheimer addressed several key issues ranging from infrastructure to security funding in a series of tweets.

In a tweet posted on March 26, 2025, Gottheimer highlighted the advantages of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which he played a crucial role in drafting, negotiating, and passing. He stated, "Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law — which I proudly helped write, negotiate, and pass — the Gateway Tunnel project is creating thousands of good-paying jobs and boosting our economy." He further expressed his commitment to opposing potential reductions in this funding by the Trump Administration.

On the same day, March 26, 2025, Gottheimer conveyed his efforts in leading a bipartisan initiative urging the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to restore security funding. He expressed, "I proudly led 78 of my colleagues in a bipartisan letter calling on @FEMA to restore security funding that helps religious institutions like synagogues and Jewish community centers protect against violence & antisemitic attacks."

The following day, on March 27, 2025, Gottheimer addressed concerns related to delays in Amtrak services. He wrote, "I won’t stand for another 'Summer of Hell' with endless, hours-long delays on @Amtrak." He elaborated on his involvement with fellow New Jersey representatives in advocating for improved service and reliability from Amtrak, and his introduction of the All Aboard Act in the previous Congress to ensure passengers receive refunds for delayed services.
