Amendment made
In November of this year, the DEP and the Interstate Environmental Commission (IEC) mutually executed a first amendment of the Memorandum of Understanding to implement year 2 of the NJ/NY Harbor Monitoring Network which monitors New Jersey’s portion of the NJ/NY Harbor Estuary
The data collected is important to gauge the efficacy of many NJDEP programs whose efforts positively impact the NJ/NY Harbor Estuary’s water quality , and to determine if designated uses are being met and whether classification upgrades are warranted
