On December 4, 2024, Rep. Gottheimer criticized the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Congestion Tax in a tweet stating, "The @MTA’s Congestion Tax won’t just hit our families with a $2,300-per-year new tax, it also creates more cancer-causing pollution across NJ and NY. You don’t have to take my word for it; the MTA’s own report admits it."

On December 5, 2024, he extended congratulations to Senator Cory Booker in another tweet: "Congratulations to Bergen County native @CoryBooker on his new role as Chair of the Strategic Communications Committee in Senate Democratic Leadership! With his passion, dedication, and commitment to our hard working Jersey families, I know Senator Booker will bring…"

Addressing community safety concerns on December 6, 2024, Gottheimer tweeted about drones flying over neighborhoods: "I’ve heard from many of my constituents about their ongoing concerns about large drones flying over our neighborhood. We were briefed yesterday by Homeland Security. As a member of the Intelligence Committee, I’ve asked for an immediate additional classified briefing."
