Representative Josh Gottheimer, serving New Jersey’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently shared a series of statements on various topics via social media. The congressman addressed issues ranging from veteran recognition to infrastructure upgrades and international conflicts.

On November 18, 2024, Rep. Gottheimer expressed his honor in recognizing Walter Enright's service in the Navy by reconnecting him with his earned service medals. He stated: "It was an honor to recognize Walter Enright’s distinguished service in the Navy by reconnecting him with the service medals he earned and deserved." Gottheimer emphasized his commitment to supporting veterans who have sacrificed for national freedoms.

The following day, November 19, 2024, he highlighted the need for infrastructure improvements at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. He remarked: "The Port Authority Bus Terminal was built in the 1950s and we need to upgrade it for the demands of the 21st century." He stressed that such investments are vital for ensuring efficient commutes and supporting local businesses.

Later that day, Rep. Gottheimer commented on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, marking a significant milestone of continued warfare. He declared: "Today marks 1000 days of ongoing war as Ukraine fights to defend its borders and democracy." Gottheimer reiterated firm support for Ukraine against what he described as "Putin's dictatorial march."
