Back in the 20th century, the cranberry bogs at Double Trouble State Park

Arguably the most iconic

Thanksgiving side dish, cranberry sauce is no stranger to NJ. Back in the 20th century, the cranberry bogs at Double Trouble State Park served their community as one of the largest cranberry operations in the state.

While cranberry cultivation at Double Trouble isn't currently active, several bogs can still be observed (not disturbed!) by park visitors by taking either the Sweetwater Trail or the Nature Trail
