Josh Gottheimer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 5th district, has been vocal about several issues through his recent social media posts. His tweets reflect his commitment to addressing food insecurity and challenging policies affecting his constituents.

On March 19, 2025, Gottheimer expressed his dedication as a member of the bipartisan House Hunger Caucus in combating food insecurity. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that everyone has enough to eat to create a safer and healthier state. "As a proud member of the bipartisan House Hunger Caucus, I’m working to fight food insecurity."

In another tweet dated March 20, 2025, he criticized far-right extremists for implementing cuts that could negatively impact farmers and children. He highlighted his Stop School Hunger Plan aimed at preventing hunger among schoolchildren in New Jersey. "Far-right extremists aren’t just sticking it to our farmers — they’re pushing chaotic cuts that would literally snatch food out of the mouths of children."

Later on March 20, Gottheimer addressed New York's Congestion Tax issue, accusing NY and MTA of non-compliance after being ordered to stop. He pledged continued efforts until New York ceases its congestion tax practices. "Time's up on New York’s Congestion Tax — but NY and @MTA haven’t shown an ounce of interest in complying after being ordered to stop."
