Josh Gottheimer, a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey's 5th district since 2017, has been vocal on various issues through his recent tweets. Gottheimer, who succeeded Scott Garrett and holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University, continues to express his stance on policies affecting his constituents.

On March 20, 2025, Gottheimer tweeted about his ongoing efforts as Co-Chair of the bipartisan Congressional Anti-Congestion Tax Caucus. He stated, "Finally, as Co-Chair of the bipartisan Congressional Anti-Congestion Tax Caucus, I’ll never stop fighting to ensure that no one gets whacked with this ridiculous, regressive tax."

Later that day, he addressed former President Trump's decision regarding the Department of Education. On March 20, 2025, he wrote: "President Trump’s decision to dismantle the Department of Education is not just dangerous — it’s a reckless and illegal betrayal of our families, students, and educators." He included a link to his full statement for further details.

On March 21, 2025, Gottheimer expressed concern over rising antisemitism and hate in relation to a recent administrative decision. He tweeted: "As antisemitism and hate are on the rise, the Administration's decision to freeze crucial Non-Profit Security Grants for religious institutions and nonprofits is both dangerous and wrong." He also mentioned leading an initiative with 78 colleagues urging FEMA to reverse this decision.
