Josh Gottheimer, a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 5th district, shared his thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets. Serving since 2017, Gottheimer is known for his commitment to public service and advocacy on key matters affecting his constituents.

On February 18, 2025, Gottheimer expressed his appreciation for public education and highlighted the importance of supporting educational systems. He noted his meeting with the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA), stating "As the son of a teacher, I know how important public education is to our families & communities." The meeting featured special guest Boyz II Men.

In another tweet dated February 19, 2025, he addressed the impact of bird flu on the nation's poultry supply. Gottheimer remarked on the soaring egg prices due to the loss of over 130 million birds and criticized attempts by the Administration to reduce public health workers at the USDA. He commented "The bird flu has ravaged our nation’s poultry supply, killing over 130M birds & sending egg prices soaring for Jersey families."

Further emphasizing safety concerns within the Jewish community in America, Gottheimer tweeted on February 19 about his legislative efforts to combat antisemitism. He urged support for his Antisemitism Awareness Act with "A majority of American Jews no longer feel safe in their own homes or classrooms."
