Josh Gottheimer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey's 5th district since 2017, has been vocal on various issues through his recent tweets. Born in Livingston, New Jersey, and currently residing in Wyckoff, Gottheimer holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University.

On March 24, 2025, Gottheimer emphasized the importance of security measures against terrorism. He stated that "Our security isn’t a ball that we can kick down the field until it’s too late. In the fight against terrorism, we can't delay." He committed to securing federal support for state and local law enforcement in New Jersey to ensure safety during the FIFA World Cup.

Later that day, he addressed educational funding concerns by highlighting that "New Jersey claws back nearly $1 billion in critical education dollars from the federal government every year." He expressed opposition to reducing resources provided by the Department of Education essential for families, students, and teachers in New Jersey.

In another tweet on March 24th, Gottheimer raised alarms about national security practices. As a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, he expressed concern over top officials sending sensitive information via an unsecure app. He remarked that "These reckless actions risk exposing sensitive" information meant for classified channels.
