Josh Gottheimer, currently serving as a U.S. congressman representing New Jersey's 5th district, shared his thoughts on significant local and national issues via social media on April 22 and 23, 2025.

On April 22, 2025, Gottheimer marked Earth Day by urging continued efforts to protect the climate and ensure clean air and water for future generations. "Happy Earth Day, Jersey! As we commemorate the 55th anniversary of Earth Day, let's continue to fight to protect our climate and keep our air and water clean for our children and families," he stated.

Later that day, Gottheimer expressed concern over the rise of antisemitism. He termed it "despicable and depressing” and emphasized the need for collective action to prevent hate. "The despicable and depressing surge in antisemitism across New Jersey and our country should sound an alarm for every single American. We must work together to ensure that there truly is no place for hate of any kind here in the greatest country in the world," wrote Gottheimer.

Early on April 23, Gottheimer extended his prayers to those affected by a wildfire in Ocean County and commended the efforts of first responders. He urged residents to adhere to safety guidelines, saying, “I'm praying for everyone impacted by the devastating wildfire in Ocean County. Thank you to our brave first responders battling the flames and helping families evacuate. Please stay safe and follow all official evacuation orders."

Josh Gottheimer, born in Livingston, New Jersey in 1975 and residing in Wyckoff, has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2017 after replacing Scott Garrett. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and earned a JD from Harvard University.
