Representative Josh Gottheimer recently shared a series of tweets addressing various political and social issues. The New Jersey congressman commented on President Trump's recent speech, expressed his commitment to senior citizens' benefits, and celebrated recognition for his efforts in animal rights.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Gottheimer criticized President Trump's address by stating that "In President Trump’s speech tonight, he failed to present a concrete plan to make life more affordable for Jersey and American families."

Later that day, he reaffirmed his dedication to protecting seniors' benefits. He tweeted: "I’ll always fight for our seniors and protect their hard-earned benefits. That’s why I sent a letter, with more than 200 of my colleagues, to demand far-right extremists don’t make any cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid — critical services our seniors rely on."

In another tweet on the same day, Rep. Gottheimer announced an accolade from an animal rights organization: "I’m proud to receive a 100% score from the @humaneactfund on their Congressional scorecard! I’ll always stand up for endangered species, fight reckless attacks on animal rights, and pass commonsense solutions to protect animals from abuse."
