The following day, February 16, 2025, he addressed healthcare funding in New Jersey nursing homes: "More than half of patients in NJ nursing homes rely on Medicaid for care. Far-right extremists are trying to slash Medicaid funding and take away healthcare for our most vulnerable residents — we won’t let them."
Later that same day, Rep. Gottheimer shared a community initiative involving local students and veterans: "Hope everyone had a very Happy Valentine’s Day! Every year, I work with local students to make & collect Valentines to deliver to our local veterans. This year, we collected more than 3,000 cards!"
