Rep. Josh Gottheimer, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey's 5th district, has expressed his positions on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. Gottheimer, who has been in office since 2017 after replacing Scott Garrett, addressed topics ranging from healthcare to international security and local taxation policies.

On January 24, 2025, Rep. Josh Gottheimer tweeted about the importance of Medicaid as a crucial support system for millions of families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. He stated his opposition to any attempts by the Trump Administration to cut such programs that benefit families and seniors in New Jersey. "Medicaid is a vital lifeline that millions of families, seniors, and people with disabilities count on."

Later that day, he commented on international affairs concerning the Houthis' actions against Israel. He referred to them as part of Iran's "Axis of Evil" and criticized their escalation in attacks using drones and ballistic missiles directed at Israel. Gottheimer reiterated his call for their redesignation as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. "The Houthis...have escalated their attacks."

In another tweet on January 24, 2025, Rep. Gottheimer invited constituents to join him live on Facebook for his 104th Cup of Joe with Josh Town Hall meeting. The discussion focused on legislative efforts he is leading in Congress regarding the restoration of the SALT Deduction, opposition to the Congestion Tax, and support for communities in New Jersey. "Join me RIGHT NOW for my 104th Cup of Joe with Josh Town Hall — Live on Facebook."
