The arts bring people together. For several years, the NNJCF's ArtsBergen initiative has worked with The SACK Business Alliance Downtown Hackensack to revitalize Hackensack's downtown business area through the arts and creative placemaking projects, such as the Main Gateway Mural on Main Street. The 160-foot mural depicted the city’s artistic and cultural history and showcased its shared creative vision for becoming a dynamic, arts-filled community.
