Former Ramapo High School player Michael Whooley helped his current team, the Villanova Wildcats, to a 10-4 victory over the UNC Asheville Bulldogs in NCAA Division I baseball on Saturday, March 21, at 2 p.m.
Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth hosted the contest, which marked the second time this season the teams faced off. The Wildcats dropped their earlier game to the Bulldogs on Friday, March 20, with a 12-9 loss.
Whooley had one hit in four at-bats, scored a run, drove in two runs, walked once and stranded two baserunners.
Villanova’s next game is set for Sunday, March 22, at Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth, with another matchup against the Bulldogs.
