The Borough of Ramsey announced on March 19 that a Styrofoam recycling collection event will take place on Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Upper Saddle River Recycling Depot, located behind Borough Hall at 376 W. Saddle River Road.

The event is open to residents who wish to recycle expanded polystyrene (EPS) #6 Styrofoam materials. Organizers ask participants to ensure all Styrofoam is clean and dry, with any labels or tape removed before drop-off.

Items not accepted at the event include packing peanuts and food containers such as to-go boxes or cups. The announcement specifies these items should not be brought for recycling during this collection.

Residents with questions about the event are encouraged to contact Reeva at r2esva@gmail.com for more information.

This initiative provides an opportunity for community members to responsibly dispose of certain types of Styrofoam waste and supports local recycling efforts.
