Rep. Josh Gottheimer, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 5th District since 2017, shared updates on his social media related to Jewish traditions, national politics, and recent aviation developments.

On April 10, 2025, Rep. Gottheimer mentioned his initiative to ensure that his colleagues, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries and Rep. Ritchie Torres, were prepared for the Passover holiday with matzah from New Jersey. He noted, "I’m making sure my friends @repjeffries & @repritchie here in the Capitol are ready for Passover with some great Jersey matzah!".

Later the same day, Gottheimer critically addressed the economic strategies of the current administration on social media. He stated, "The President doesn't have a plan for our economy. It's pure chaos. This is the opposite of the Art of the Deal — it's the Art of Stupidity."

In a subsequent post, he recounted an incident that occurred while he was on a plane at Washington, D.C.'s airport. He described how his plane was struck on the wing by another aircraft while on the runway, assuring followers that "everyone is safe". He also highlighted concerns regarding aviation safety, stating that "Recent cuts to the FAA weaken our skies and public safety."

Josh Gottheimer, born in Livingston, New Jersey, in 1975, now lives in Wyckoff. He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from Harvard University. His career in Congress began with the defeat of Scott Garrett in 2017.
