Josh Gottheimer, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 5th district, has voiced his concerns on various national and international issues through a series of tweets. Representing his constituents since 2017, Gottheimer is known for addressing significant matters affecting both his district and the broader public.

On February 17, 2025, Gottheimer highlighted the anniversary of a tragic event involving Hamas terrorists. He stated, "Five hundred days ago, Hamas terrorists launched a devastating attack against Israel, brutally murdering over 1,200 people and kidnapping more than 240 individuals."

The following day, on February 18, he expressed concern over staffing changes at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In his tweet, he remarked that "I’m deeply concerned that @WhiteHouse fired hundreds of employees at the FAA after a number of tragic plane crashes in the last two months." He emphasized New Jersey's busy airspace and criticized the decision as dangerous.

Later on February 18, Gottheimer addressed public health issues in light of recent outbreaks. He tweeted about personnel reductions at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), saying "From the bird flu outbreak to the recent measles case in Englewood, @WhiteHouse’s decision to fire more than 1K @CDCgov employees is extremely alarming." He stressed the importance of maintaining efforts to protect public health.
