Josh Gottheimer, a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey's 5th District, has been active on social media discussing issues impacting his constituents. On February 4, 2025, he addressed transportation delays and economic concerns through a series of tweets.

On the morning of February 4, Gottheimer highlighted the challenges faced by Jersey families during what he termed the "Summers of Hell," referencing prolonged delays on NJ Transit and Amtrak services. He stated that this situation prompted him to introduce the All Aboard Act. According to Gottheimer, this legislation aims to ensure passengers receive full refunds for canceled or delayed trains. "During the 'Summers of Hell,' Jersey families faced endless, hours-long delays on @NJTRANSIT & @Amtrak."

Later that day, he reiterated his message about the All Aboard Act in another tweet. This act is designed to provide automatic refunds for passengers inconvenienced by train service disruptions. "That’s why I introduced the All Aboard Act, which guarantees passengers receive full, automatic refunds when trains are canceled or delayed."

In a separate post on the same day, Gottheimer addressed economic concerns related to tariffs imposed during Donald Trump's presidency. He described these tariffs as additional taxes burdening families and businesses in New Jersey. Gottheimer estimated that such policies could cost local families an extra $830 annually. "Don’t be fooled: Tariffs are just taxes on our families and businesses."
