outine makes Jenna Bonomi uncomfortable; she wants to experience new places. In the summer of 2021, she joined Growth International Volunteer Excursions (GIVE), an organization that runs service trips centered around education and sustainability.

In July 2022, GIVE Volunteers brought Jenna to Thailand and Laos for four weeks. There, she taught English and helped maintain local agriculture.

Sop Chem, Laos, has a special place in Jenna’s heart. She loved the Baci ceremony, in which the Lao honored and blessed their visitors on their travels. She describes the ceremony as emotionally intense.

“You didn’t have to speak. You felt everything that was going on.”

Jenna already has her next trip with GIVE planned! She is heading Zanzibar, Tanzania in summer 2023. Safe travels, Jenna!  #FolksofFairleigh
