Fishing gear used by peoples of the Archaic period included the plummet and netsinkers made of notched pebbles. The Delaware River & tidal basin provided a rich source of fish and shellfish, including oysters, sturgeon, striped and large mouthed bass.
These netsinkers were found stacked in a pit at the Boehme I site, Warren Co., NJ.
