Rep. Josh Gottheimer, who has represented New Jersey’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently highlighted several developments and concerns through a series of posts on his social media account.
On April 10, 2026, Gottheimer congratulated a local resident for his achievement on national television: “Another huge win for New Jersey! Jamie Ding of Lawrenceville, NJ just secured his 20th Jeopardy! victory, cementing his place among the show’s all-time greats. Jersey pride on full display. We’re all rooting for you, Jamie!”
Later that day, he expressed gratitude to a healthcare organization in Hackensack: “Thank you to Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative (@BVMI) in Hackensack for showing me the incredible work they do providing world-class care to those who need it most. BVMI is making a real difference for hardworking families by expanding access to quality healthcare. Grateful” (April 10, 2026).
In another post on April 10, Gottheimer raised concerns about technology and national security: “We are in the midst of an AI Cold War with China—source code leaks and unstable policies don’t just jeopardize our national security, they also threaten American families and consumers by putting our economy at risk.”
Gottheimer was born in Livingston, New Jersey in 1975 and currently resides in Wyckoff. He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from Harvard University. As a member of Congress since defeating Scott Garrett in 2017, Gottheimer has been vocal about both local achievements and broader policy issues.
