Rep. Josh Gottheimer, who represents New Jersey’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, posted several updates on social media over February 21 and 22, 2026, highlighting local celebrations and sports achievements.
On February 21, Gottheimer shared his participation in a community event, writing: “Had a great day in River Edge, ringing in the Year of the Fire Horse! Hoping this new year brings peace, health, and happiness to all those celebrating!” Later that evening, he posted another message containing only a link: “https://t.co/hPSBdX6iDN”.
The following day, on February 22, Gottheimer commented on a sports victory involving a New Jersey athlete: “New Jersey Devil Jack Hughes delivers for the U.S. in overtime! Congrats to Team USA and every athlete who’s represented the talent and heart that comes from the greatest country in the world!”
Josh Gottheimer has served as U.S. Representative for New Jersey’s 5th District since 2017 after succeeding Scott Garrett. He was born in Livingston, New Jersey in 1975 and currently resides in Wyckoff. Gottheimer is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Law School.
