Rep. Josh Gottheimer, U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 5th district since 2017, shared updates on social media on May 3, 2026, highlighting his engagement with the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community, support for public education, and advancements in cancer detection technology.
In a post celebrating AANHPI Heritage Month, Gottheimer stated on May 3: “Happy #AANHPIHeritageMonth! Jersey is home to a vibrant Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander community. It’s an honor to represent Jersey’s AANHPI families in Congress and to serve as an associate member of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus @CAPAC!”
Later that day, he expressed appreciation for local educators following a meeting in Washington: “Thank you to the New Jersey Education Association for coming to Washington to discuss protecting our great public schools and educators — the best in America — and ensuring every student has an opportunity to learn and succeed!”
On the evening of May 3, Gottheimer referenced recent developments from Mayo Clinic regarding early cancer detection: “Mayo Clinic just revealed something remarkable: their AI tool can detect pancreatic cancer up to 3 years before a clinical diagnosis.”
