Rep. Josh Gottheimer, who represents New Jersey’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, highlighted local acts of heroism, economic contributions by major corporations, and ongoing efforts to prevent bullying in a series of posts on October 21, 2025.
In a post at 10:54 a.m., Gottheimer recognized Rob Tracy for his actions during severe weather events: “In 2021, Rob Tracy saved the lives of a mother and son when massive rainfall caused rising waters to engulf their vehicle. Later that day at 1:18 p.m., Gottheimer praised Samsung’s impact on the local economy: “The work @SamsungUS has pursued here in North Jersey has helped ensure that innovation continues to thrive on American soil. At 3:22 p.m., marking National Bullying Prevention Month, Gottheimer reflected on the story of Tyler Clementi: “This #NationalBullyingPreventionMonth, we remember Ridgewood native @TylerClementi — a bright young man who took his own life after being tragically cyberbullied and targeted for who he was. Gottheimer has represented New Jersey’s 5th District since replacing Scott Garrett in 2017. He was born in Livingston, New Jersey in 1975 and currently resides in Wyckoff. His educational background includes degrees from the University of Pennsylvania (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
