Later that day, Gottheimer expressed his intention to address infrastructure issues by sending a letter to Department of Transportation Secretary Duffy. His request is to expedite federal funds to deal with a sinkhole on Route 80 in Northwest Jersey, emphasizing the importance of swift action to prevent bureaucratic delays impacting local families and businesses. “I’m sending a letter to DOT @SecDuffy to expedite emergency federal funds to address the Route 80 sinkhole in Northwest Jersey.”
In his third post on March 30, Congress member Gottheimer criticized cuts implemented by Elon Musk and the current administration, classifying them as “chaos” due to a lack of strategic planning. Confirming his commitment to safeguard Social Security, he highlighted the necessity for seniors to retain access to the benefits they have earned. “Elon Musk and this Administration’s DOGE cuts are just pure chaos.”
