Rep. Josh Gottheimer, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing New Jersey’s 5th district since 2017, recently shared his thoughts on several issues through social media. Gottheimer, born in Livingston, New Jersey in 1975, resides in Wyckoff and has an educational background from the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University.
On May 6, 2025, Rep. Josh Gottheimer emphasized the non-partisan nature of a public safety issue stating that “The bottom line is that this isn’t a partisan issue — it’s a matter of public safety. It’s about fixing a system that needs fixing.”
In another post on the same day, he addressed concerns regarding flight disruptions by urging United Airlines to improve their handling of cancellations and changes. He stated “As for the delays, I am asking United to get better ahead of cancellations and flight changes, to give people more notice and complete flexibility on rebookings and refunds until this problem is solved.” He also mentioned efforts with the House Appropriations Committee.
On May 7, 2025, Rep. Gottheimer expressed support for small businesses during National Small Business Week by saying “Happy #NationalSmallBusinessWeek! This week — and every week — I’m fighting to cut red tape, lower taxes, & make Jersey an even better place to start & grow a small business.”
