Recent attacks in Michigan and Teaneck are brutal reminders that antisemitism and hate are alive and well. No one should feel unsafe walking into a”.
In another post from March 20, 2026, Gottheimer recognized the end of Ramadan with a message for his constituents and others worldwide celebrating Eid al-Fitr: “As Ramadan comes to a close, I want to wish a joyous Eid al-Fitr to all those celebrating in North Jersey and around the world.Â

Gottheimer has served as New Jersey’s 5th district representative since replacing Scott Garrett in Congress in 2017. Born in Livingston in 1975 and currently residing in Wyckoff at age 48, Gottheimer holds degrees from both the University of Pennsylvania (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
