Rep. Josh Gottheimer, a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 5th district since 2017, recently highlighted his participation in several community and legislative events through social media posts.
On April 18, 2026, Gottheimer posted about attending the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council’s commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day. He stated, “I was honored to join the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council for its commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day. We remember the millions lost, stand against antisemitism and hate, and recommit to ensuring ‘Never Again’ is not just words, but a promise we keep.”
The following day, April 19, 2026, Gottheimer shared his involvement with the American Hellenic Institute’s celebration of Greek Independence. He wrote, “Great to join the American Hellenic Institute today to celebrate 205 years of Greek Independence! As a member of the Congressional Hellenic Caucus, I am proud to stand with the Greek-American community in honoring Greece’s rich heritage.”
Later on April 19, Gottheimer discussed a meeting with BioNJ regarding Cameron’s Law and advancements in patient safety and innovation in New Jersey. He said, “Innovation and patient safety go hand in hand. Great meeting with @BioNJ_org on Cameron’s Law and the future of life-saving treatments in NJ. Gottheimer has represented New Jersey’s 5th District since defeating Scott Garrett in 2017. Born in Livingston in 1975 and currently residing in Wyckoff, he holds degrees from both the University of Pennsylvania (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
