Representative Josh Gottheimer, who serves New Jersey’s 5th District in the U.S. Congress, recently shared his activities and initiatives through a series of tweets. Gottheimer, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University Law School, highlighted his bipartisan efforts, support for young artists, and commitment to veterans.
On April 27, 2025, Gottheimer tweeted about leading a bipartisan letter with over 120 colleagues addressed to Attorney General Pam Bondi. He wrote, “I led a bipartisan letter with 120+ colleagues urging @AGPamBondi to keep her word and protect critical investments that support survivors of domestic violence. We can’t just let these lifesaving programs be haphazardly slashed.”
Later that day, on April 27, 2025, he expressed admiration for the students participating in the Congressional Art Competition. Gottheimer noted, “Very impressed by the talented students who came out from across the District to showcase art they submitted to this year’s Congressional Art Competition. Congratulations to each young artist from NJ-5 who submitted their artwork — I’m proud of your creativity and courage!”
In another tweet later on April 27, 2025, Gottheimer reiterated his commitment to supporting veterans. He shared, “Our commitment to our veterans can’t end when they return to civilian life. I’ll always get the backs of those who’ve bravely had ours. I’m proud of the work we did to expedite Kimberly’s VA service connection appeal & secure the benefits she was owed.”
Born in Livingston, New Jersey in 1975, Josh Gottheimer has lived in Wyckoff since he assumed office in 2017, succeeding Scott Garrett. He continues to serve in the U.S. Congress, representing New Jersey’s 5th District.
