U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer, representing New Jersey’s 5th district, recently addressed several community and national issues in a series of posts on his social media account.
On October 9, 2025, Gottheimer highlighted the importance of youth development programs during National 4-H Week. He stated, “This National 4-H Week, we are reminded that @4H is a right-of-passage for so many young people across the Garden State, including some of my staff. As a proud member of the bipartisan 4-H Caucus, I will always fight for bipartisan solutions to support our next generation of”.
The following day, October 10, Gottheimer expressed concern about misinformation on social media platforms regarding historical events. He wrote, “We can’t afford for our children to learn history from TikTok, one of the single largest social media purveyors of antisemitic tropes. Only by ensuring they have the true facts of October 7th, not some social-media cooked-up fiction, can we ensure that it will never happen”.
Later on October 10, he addressed public safety issues related to e-bikes. Gottheimer posted, “While fun and efficient, without the right safety precautions, e-bikes can be dangerous. It’s heartbreaking, and it’s becoming increasingly common. With my E-Bike Safety Plan, I’m hoping that we can prevent the next e-bike crash before it happens.”
Josh Gottheimer has served as a U.S. Representative since replacing Scott Garrett in 2017 and continues to represent New Jersey’s 5th District in Congress. Born in Livingston in 1975 and currently residing in Wyckoff at age 48, Gottheimer holds degrees from both the University of Pennsylvania (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
