On Tuesday, Feb. 18, former St. Joseph Regional High School standout Gabriel Alvarez’s current college team, the Longwood Lancers, won 6-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the VCU Rams.
The game took place at Buddy Bolding Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Rams this season.
The Lancers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 12 p.m. at Buddy Bolding Stadium against Penn State Nittany Lions.
